It's time to explore the real religion shown to us in the Bible. Be prepared for some unexpected results. No, this is not a Methodist site. No this is not a Protestant site. This site is dedicated to trying to determine what is true Biblical Christianity. And then - How do we properly worship the Great Creator God as He would have us do. We will also explore related themes as necessary in order to provide a more in depth understanding of certain issues. Dust off your Bible and join in. Help debunk the doctrines that you may have taken at face value at sometime in the past. You must see for yourself to believe.

The old crusty guy in the picture to the left has spent quite some time looking into the subject at hand. But he (I) know that, in this life, it is only possible to understand the surface of that which we are looking for. Us humans must try to understand, but mostly we must trust God to give us understanding.

The number of web sites that I have looked at that have experts that claim to "Know it all" is incredible. Here, we have something to share together. Stick around. I hope this journey lasts for ever. There is a way to reconcile Christianity, Judiasm, and Islam. They are all really one religion. Hard to believe? Despite my above suggestion to start reading from the 7 part series below, I am now placing the following article first in my recommending reading order. Why? Because I think that it is more important to stress the commonalities of the world's major religions then to perhaps note where they went wrong.

There is a guy on the internet that is associated with the Living Church of God who seems to be so enraptured by the number of university degrees that he has accumulated that he thinks he knows all things. I think that he has at least a small something else to learn - as do we all. He has a tendancy to pick on other people for what he thinks is their lack of Biblical knowledge. I am tired of his being a bully.

I have tried very hard to portray my articles in a positive light as a positive set of teaching tools. But sometimes it becomes difficult to always portray the positive. I believe that it is time to display a serious problem within the Seventh Day Churches of God that came out of the twentieth century Worldwide Church of God (WCG). The WCG was formed out of the Radio Church of God in I believe the 1950's or so with Herbert W. Armstrong at the helm. In the early to mid 1990's that church imploded as foretold in Revelation Chapter 3 and verses 16-18 because they were so self righteous that they felt that they had determined all true doctrine and needed no additional understanding of Biblical matters. I truely believe that the WCG, in its infancy, was on the right track. At least the lay members were sincere. However, the leadership became corrupt after they discovered they could muniplate the concept of tithing. This topic is investigated in other articles below - especially the one entitled "The Olsens".

The tithes and offerings of the members of the church became an addiction for the elite ministry at the headquarters in Pasadena, CA. They bought personal jet planes, country residences, and properties for 3 Universities - all on the backs of the membership. They even had their own TV show proporting to spread the gospel. Did I mention the 3 or more magazine publishing enterprises? Or hundreds of paid ministers with company (church) automobiles?

I could go on, but that is not the point here. What is important is that, in this particular topic, at least in one occassion, with the Biblical research going on at their University level, at least one new truth was revealed. That truth was the ability to at last restore the true calendar that was decreed by God and revealed to ancient Israel, the chosen nation of God. The WCG had been stumbling over this issue for decades. They grouped and regrouped on this doctrine for many years. But as revealed in the article below, in 1972, they had the information required to finally put this issue into true doctrine.

It could not be by chance that this doctrine adjustment was not implemented. It is very straight forward and uncomplicated. It would however, require a little acknowledgement that previous doctrines might have been flawed. This would of course reveal that the experts in religion at headquarters were themselves still learning. But most important, the information revealed in the below reproduced document would mean that the established doctrine of thithing and additional offerings was invalid. In fact, those monetary doctrines would be found to be Bibically illegal. And possibly civil legal problems could be established.

Mark this well. In 1972, the WCG had information on the timing of  the Seven Year Land Sabbaths, and the Fifty Year Jubilee. But they chose to not integrate these newly revealed doctrines into their practice, because it would lead to the reduction of their thithing proceeds by a minimum of 6/7. That is the minimum. When in fact, the revelation of The Land Sabbaths and The Jubilee year count would reveal that their doctrine of 1/10th yearly member tithe was not in fact a Biblical doctrine. Even the black slaves understood The Jubilee meaning, and prayed for it during their enslavement in portions of our country.

The main point here is that the WCG knew of the proper application of the real Sabbath system and did not act apon it. And a further embarassment to the offshoots of that church is - Those churches still have not acted on this Biblical truth. Those offshoots - LCG, PCG, UCG, and others, still put this tithing burden on their members. Thievery is the only honest answer for these actions.

One of the most remarkable and fundamental truths of the Bible is unknown to all of the major world religions. It is the underlying purpose to everything else that you might read about in that book. Nothing happens from Genesis to Revelation without the plan for this purpose being achieved. It is a glorious purpose - I hope you are involving your life in this effort.

I am slipping in a new article ahead of my recommended reading list. It is new for Passover 2011and 2012 even though it does not directly relate to the subject of Passover - Or does it? I will let you decide.

Once again I am putting in a new article ahead of my recommended reading list. It is found by me to be very important to anyone who might tune into a religion based show on TV. There was once a comedian back in the 1980's that told us - "If I ever want to get religion, I will not resort to one of the guys on Sunday morning TV with a really cool haircut". George Carlin was right. Not much for reporting the weather, but he had insight into this subject.

The book of Daniel is the link between The Old Testament and The New Testament. Written when the House of Judah was in captivity in Babylon, it also linked the First Temple to The second Temple. The House of Israel had previously been captured by the Assyrians and transported from the promised land and other peoples had been settled into the land promised to the Patriarchs. Ten tribes supposedly lost to history. Two remaining tribes - plus most of the Levites in Babylon.

There are many stories in The Book of Daniel - The Statue of the King - The Lions Den - The Kings of The North and The South - Many dates and times - Much Prophecy.

But there is still much to be taken out of that book that needs to be understood. Hopefully the following articles will assist in this.

The following article may seem out of place in this series about the Book of Daniel. But it is not. It is really a prelude to the next article about the ability of the ancients to predict things on this planet earth by looking to the language of languages available to learned peoples of the past. This universal language is of course mathematics and has been available to many peoples for as long as we can look back in recorded history. As noted in the above article about Daniel Chapter 11, God gave those ancient peoples insight into things that we can only start to again understand. We can do that if we put out of our minds things placed there by those who do not have this knowledge because they cannot seem to join acedemic knowledge with Biblical understanding. This could be a thing of the past if we all might just sit back and ponder the magnitude of what God is doing.

Trying to understand prophecy is absolutely the same as attempting to fortell the future. Care must be taken to NOT read personal interest into what is discovered.

As promised some time ago, I have rewritten the following article. To tell the truth, since I wrote it 2 or 3 years ago, I have learned some very important things that have now been incorporated. The War of Hamon Gog is the final action against the "Lost Tribes of Israel" in the latter days. This war, which is in fact the war of The Fifth Trumpet of Revelation, takes place on the North American continent. That war is described in Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39. Ezekiels account can be shown to be parallel to that given in the Book of Joel and that which is summarized in Revelation Chapter 9. These events are soon to happen. Please be fore warned

The churches of Revelation Chapters 2 and 3 Can be shown to be historically sequential since the first church was established on Pentecost CE 30.

The following article investigates the subjects - "The Latter Days" - "The Last Days" - "The Time of The End" - "The Day of The Lord". It is complete with every New King James scripture containing those phrases. Hopefully there will be less confusion about these subjects in the future.

There are many symbolic characters depicted in the Book of Revelation. At least 2 Beasts, a couple Lambs, and a False Prophet. It is time we understood these characters and the roles that they are getting ready to play.

Well, prophesy is important to understand where we might be going. But history tells where we have been. It gives us a perspective on the present and the future. Sometimes we humans seem to only live in the "Right now". That is to be expected. That is where we are. But sometimes we need to go back, and see where we came from.

This is the first article that I wrote starting about eight years ago. I still believe it to be the most important historical article on this site. It takes awhile to internalize but the importance of the proved conclusions cannot be underestimated. Enjoy the revelation of the journey.

In the first few centuries after the death of Jesus, there were (2) "New" religions that claimed to be Christian. The belief systems and practices of those systems were very different. It is important for us to determine which was/is correct. Along came a guy named Hippotulus that documented the true Christian belief system, just prior to those original true Christians needing to go underground for the next 1260 years due to the Inquisitions. He himself was killed for his beliefs, but his wisdom lives on in what he left to us. His words are reproduced here for our edification.

The following article is admittedly incomplete. It attempts to begin to identify the nations of Genesis Chapter 10 with the nations of the end time. It is posted here for comment, clean up and expansion. Your assistance is appreciated.

Enoch is a character in the Bible who is little explored. His writings were rejected from inclusion into the original canon of the Bible, except in the Coptic Church. Yet his writings and his legend occur in New Testament works such as Jude and The Book of Hebrews. Some commentators think that his writings are not as ancient as they claim to be and were probably written just prior to the New Testament. However, works attributed to Enoch have been recovered from The Dead Sea Scrolls along with Isaiah, Jeremiah and many other older scriptures. If we start looking for the true Biblically endorsed holidays to be celebrated by true Christians we can start by disregarding days that do not show up in that record. Days such as Valentines Day and St. Patricks Day obviously fit this bill. But let's not concentrate on the negative but look for the positive.

In Leviticus Chapter 23 and starting in Verse 1, God comes right out and declares those days and times that are Holy to Him. If we want to feast and celebrate with God, we must do so when He does so. Following are articles that I hope will assist in determining when these days and times are and how to observe them properly. These important days were never taken off of the calendar of God. If they had been, Luke would have told us in his Book of Acts. And the Apostle Paul would have at least hinted at this subject in at least one of his letters to the Gentiles. Neither did any such thing. We are left with the responsibility - The honor of worshiping with the Creator God on His selected days.

There are 7 Passovers described in your Bible. Possibly, the most interesting aspect of the following study is that the 7th one has not yet happened. It is yet for the future - believe it or not.

The Days of Unleavened Bread are a seven day period of time where practicing Christians do not eat bread products that contain leavening. The first such day is the Day of Passover. These days have much meaning to those who seek the True Creator God and want to better understand His Purpose.

If you were handed a blank calendar, a Bible, and were able to determine astronomical events, could you determine the exact day of Passover? The answer and the proper determination is contained in the following article.

Possibly the least understood of all the days mentioned in Leviticus Chapter 23 is The Feast of Firstfruits - Verses 9-14. It falls within the Days of Unleavened Bread which begins with Passover proper. This day is commonly called "The Wave Sheaf Day". It is not designated as a Holy Day, but is is indicated to be a Feast Day. Please read on for more understanding.

The Feast of Trumpets is not much known to most of the religious world. It is somewhat practiced by the Seventh Day Churches of God. But the real meaning of this first fall Holy Day has not been understood until recently. The ancient Myans understood it from a reverse perspective, a dark perspective. Now those of us from the other side can respect it until our Lord comes. In fact, we can celebrate this Holy Feast with Him if we so choose.

After we practice The Feast of Trumpets, we are faced with 10 days of prophetic meaning that has escaped almost every religion in history. These days represent many of the events foretold to us in The Book of Revelation. I call them the interstitual days, but the meaning of the activity therein is profound. It may even be a leading factor for conversion to some.I have revised this article. This shows my ability to learn as I go along. Never professing the entire truth. Just learning from others.

The Day of Atonement is the second Fall Holy Day listed for our observance in Leviticus Chapter 23. It is the most solomn of all the Holy Days - And with good reason. Within this article are referenced other articles that are still in process. I hope that those will be published in time for the Fall Holy Season of 2011.
All of the meanings of the Fall Holy Days are prophetic in nature. They culminate in the beginning of The Kingdom of God. Our near future is no longer shrouded in the mist of uncertainty. Things are starting to happen. They will happen quickly. It is time to prepare.

The day of God's Wrath does not necessarily follow the Day of Atonement. in fact, it must precede it in the Biblical account. But here it is presented as a tool for understanding that day. The main fact for true Christians is that we will not face this Wrath. But we must know of its purpose and meaning. It is for us to decide where we are at in our search for the truth. I wonder if this could be the dividing line.

We will next profile the Ingathering of the peoples to Jerusalem. This is the beginning of the Kingdom of God. This is what Jesus came to tell us about. This is what all history and prophecy is about.  Please stay tuned.

Well, as I have said, most of the articles on this site were primarily written for personal education and edification. So there had to be some that fit into no other category. I never intended to have a web site so I did not structure my articles to flow from one to another. Possibly that may happen in the future.

I had some friends once who were seriously injured by the tithing practices of The Worldwide Church of God. This is their story.

As inspiration due to the Olsens story, following is a brief article on the history of tithing and why it is no longer part of the New Testament commanded practice. Most Ministers are going to hate this.
